How Noosa has deployed VMS Signs at speeding hot-spots

VMS Signs at speeding hot-spots has been a recent mechanism in the Noosa. This has been done to reduce the rising speed of vehicles and accidents. A new radar-variable message signs are helping put the braking system on boosting on local streets. Council plans to set up the varying message sign (VMS) at boosting locations across the shire to emphasize lead-footed motorists to reduce on Council’s road system. It’s an effort financed by the Road Safety Grants Program by Queensland Government Community.

Kauri Street at Cooroy is the sign’s first stop. Noosa has deployed VMS Signs at speeding hot-spots and this has brought a considerable new phase in everyone’s life in this country. Driver feedback sign further helped everyone in this regard.

Noosa has deployed radar speed signs in high risk areas such as parks, hospitals or places where children are frequently seen on roads

Radar signs were selected due to latest problems about automobiles boosting past the street’s daycare centres and dancing school. “Every km over the posted rate restrict boosts the chance of disaster, in particular to those localities where kids are out and on some crossing streets,” said by Joanna Ferris Venture Official. “The beauty of these symptoms is that they are mobile so we can move them around Council’s road system at the demand of cops, or in reaction to phone calls from town.”Hence Noosa has deployed radar speed signs in high risk areas such as parks, hospitals or places where children are frequently seen on roads.

40% vehicles were found to be speeding which is now estimated to reduce drastically

Speeding automobiles induce the VMS to display the posted rate restrict, the vehicle’s rate, and an email encouraging the motorist to reduce. “We know from other councils’ experience that they do help reduce boosting,” Ms Ferris says. A latest assessment by Queensland City Authorities found that such symptoms were effective in reducing around 40% of speeding automobiles with the use of vms signs.  “At Kauri Street, we’ve designed the content to emphasize boosting motorists that they’re putting children’s lifestyles in danger.” VMS and dynamic message signs use LED technology and solar, making them a welcome boost to road safety, and one that facilitates Council’s zero pollutants focus on.
